I get it. Right now we don't have a lot of pilots. We are currently averaging 1 new pilot a day out of 20 new applications. That's pretty good by anyone's standards.

12/14/2011- What happened to Operation: Aura?

I've been getting this question a lot, especially from new members. Operation Aura was an ambitious goal designed to put us on a path to 0.0 space. Like most corporations with long term goals, we were hit with something that should have been expected, Wars. For a time The Alpha Company became a target of numerous War Declarations, most were Grief Wars. Players simply trying to pad their stats and target corporations that seemed like easy targets.

For awhile we played 'Turtle'; decided to deny attacks. It worked for 1 or 2 wars, but not all. Mostly because some members simply wanted to fight and wanted to fight with backup. Funny how that changed when we were on the offensive. Dealing with these wars completely shifted our focus from 'Operation Aura' to 'Dealing with the current War Griefer'. We learned a lot, I learned a lot. Members were lost, Drama was stirred. But as I think back, the cause of it was that we no longer had a common goal we all shared. It was supposed to be Aura, now it was 'Lets Defend The Alpha Company from the Latest War Dec'. Not everyone wanted to play that game. Who can blame them?

Wars either kill corporations or deter them from their long term goals.
Wars cause a massive drop in member activity and generally make the game not so fun to play. They also come at the worst moments. What do we do about it?

Answer: Everyone Should Stay Focused and be in Agreement
Players change their minds about War on a daily basis. We needed a way to gauge everyone's thoughts in a discreet yet important way. So we've created a Live War Voting System. It's pretty straight forward. If you want to play the game of "War", say so here. If not, vote for Peace. Then it's the job of leadership to enact everyone's response. It automatically calculates based on the current active member roster.

And know that our current operation is: The Erebus Project

Fly Safe Everyone!

-Taurian

I currently fly a tricked out Harbinger. It's fast, versatile, can be equipped with Short Range Weapons up to 20km and Long Range Weapons up to 56km. I strongly feel that size does not matter in EVE. This is how I prove it.
